At the Matteson Literary Fest, Cecil Mims bought my book Baby, So Precious. This is his story.
I just came up looking at all the other authors that were out here. My wife was also part of the event. I looked through all of the books, and I just picked out a couple at random. One of them was just kind of unique to me. So I bought this book. But I didn’t notice until after I had bought it that the special date in this book corresponded with my great niece’s birthday!
Then I took it to my brother, who read it to my great niece, Star Love. She wasn’t really old enough to read yet, but she was following along and looking at the pictures. She saw her birthday in it, and that made that book personal to her. So I thank Lucille for putting that book together!
